Happy Birthday to ME
It’s Birthday week, here, at the OK corral and you know what that means: It’s time for some serious self-indulgence and self-reflection.
Every year, I ask myself a series of questions that tend to go something like this:
- Am I happy?
- Did I accomplish everything I set out to do last year?
- What do I want to do this year?
- What will I do to make it happen?
This year, I’m adding another question to the question pile: Who will it serve?
Self Service
As I get older, service to myself tends to take on less importance; it’s service to my fellow (wo)man that seems to be the answer to all of the above. This week’s affirmation reminds us to step outside of ourselves and think of others. Say it out loud, rinse and repeat when you find yourself tooting your own horn or throwing a pity party for one. It’s a Buddhist quote; one that I think we can all act on and benefit from together.
Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.

Happy b-day Kris–we’ll toast at the next TT
Happy Birthday Kris. May this year bring you all you wish and answers to all your questions.
Happy birthday!
Thanks, Sarah!
