Rain, rain go away; come again some other day!
And just like that, Spring is here.
Creating a Clearing
Early Spring (AKA March Madness) is the time of year when I like to clear out the cobwebs, get organized, and just get busy! All of a sudden: drawers that I haven’t looked at in years need to be cleaned, boxes filled with what used to be important get taken to Goodwill, and rooms that were perfectly fine last month need a new coat of paint and some freshening up. I’m creating a clearing. For what, I’m not sure, but I know that if I clean out my closet now, magic will happen later.
It’s a Kinda Magic
This week magic has been in the works. My In-Laws have been staying with us and together we’ve been making a serious dent in said clearing:
- We’ve built a one-of-a-kind bathtub bench (super cool future post)
- Sewn pillows
- Painted a bathroom
- Painted a well shack (my Father-In-Law rocked this one; all of them, actually)
- Patched up some drywall
- Installed doors on two cabinets
- Reorganized a pantry
- Ordered and assembled some furniture
- and started planning another bedroom redo
This is all in one week! I can only imagine what would happen if they were here for a month. Needless to say, we kicked butt! And I’ll finally have something in the decorator realm to share with you. So come back later this week for a clearing extravaganza!
